Someone I most admire. I have looked up to Anna Politkovskaya since I first learned of her and her work in 8th grade. I admire her courage, her determination to always tell the truth. She is one of the most amazing women of our time in my opinion.
In case you may not know who she is, she is a Russian journalist that was shot and killed in 2006, and her murderer has yet to be arrested. She worked for Novaya Gazeta amongst other newspapers and published a couple books, including Putin’s Russia. She was well known for her work regarding Chechnya and her criticism of Putin and organizations such as the FSB.
